BACK-UP GROUNDWATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS — A NECESSARY SAFEGUARD FOR HUMANITARIAN DISASTERS IN CONDITIONS OF MILITARY AGGRESSION

Many cities in Ukraine use surface centralized water intakes, connected to a single energy network, which are often located at considerable distance (30-45 km) from settlements (for example, Mykolaiv, Chernivtsi, etc.), makes the supply system extremely vulnerable military aggression and sabotage. Given Russia’s constant claims our independence, it is clear that guaranteed of drinking population as important factor its security strong modern army. Considering existing means emergency treatment (imported water, mobile plants designed prepare sources, pumping stations, etc.) we can conclude most secure sustainable source groundwater. For better protection access even during street fights, proposed equip local well intakes with autonomous power supply, for 2.0-3.5 thousand users, compact installations purification disinfection.
